Walking distance (5 mn) to the Marais district (right across the bridge), the Sorbonne University and the heart of the Latin Quarter with its many cafés and restaurants. Traditional farmers' markets held twice a week 5 mn away on Maubert Square and Monge Square. The Rue des Ecoles, right behind the building, is the living heart of Paris scholarly community, with its many libraries. There also are many theatres on Saint-Michel Avenue (10 mn walk).
