Traditional farmers' markets held twice a week 5 mn away on Maubert Square and Monge Square. The Rue des Ecoles, right behind the building, is the living heart of Paris scholarly community, with its many libraries. There also are many theatres on Saint-Michel Avenue (10 mn walk).
