My home will be available from April 10-16, as I will be in Australia, and the exchangers will only be in my place the week previous. So I am interested in finding someone who may want to do the first half of a non-simultaneous exchange.

My place is charming, comfortable, quiet 1-bedroom, 1-bathroom flat, furnished with antiques, with large private patio. Ideal for 2 people but sofa bed in living room could sleep 2 more. A wonderful place to relax, and provides easy access to almost everything you might want in Southern California.

My place is walking distance to shopping, restaurants, pubs, music, and movies in thriving Old Town Pasadena and the Paseo Colorado mall. On a great tree-lined street; a lovely neighborhood for walking. Near many attractions, including museums, theatres, Huntington Library and Gardens, and the Arroyo Seco nature area with paths for walking and a riding stable. A 12-minute walk from a light rail station, from which it’s a 20-30 minute ride to Hollywood, downtown, Universal Studios, Chinatown, Olvera Street, etc. Easy access to freeways if driving. Mountains and hiking a 20-minute drive; beaches 30-45 minutes away.

Pasadena is a city of about 125,000, seven miles northeast of downtown L.A. It’s about 125 years old (ancient by California standards) and has a small-town feel. You get the climate and beauty of Southern California and its many wonderful features without the congestion of L.A. proper.

DSL connection for your laptop, microwave, dishwasher, laundry room in building, TV, multi-region DVD player, combination radio/CD/cassette player/turntable, BBQ on patio. Use of vehicle can be included if you’re comfortable driving a stick-shift pick-up truck with steering wheel on the left in L.A. traffic!
