Melbourne has been voted one of the world's most liveable cities and the waterside area of St Kilda is one of its most vibrant and trendy.
Our house is an 1870s fully renovated Victorian mansion. It is huge - over 400sqm with 4 bedrooms, 3 bathrooms, formal dining room, two living/family rooms, full laundry, two home offices.
We also have a gorgeous, leafy and private back garden complete with deck, fish pond (house swappers will be required to feed the fish) and offstreet secure car parking for two cars (remote control roller door). The area is buzzing but once you are inside our house, it is perfectly peaceful and quiet. The backyard in particular is a haven away from the city.

The house has a lovely mix of antiques and contemporary furnishings. We have a library wall full of English language novels. We have central heating throughout and AC to keep the house cool in summer.

Within easy walking distance are over 50 restaurants and cafes, the beach, public transport (Melbourne CBD is only 15 minutes by tram from the end of our street) plus we have a large Botanic Garden at our back door.
