Spectacular Waihi Beach is less than 1.5 hours from Hamilton on the east coast. The beach is 9 kms long and we are situated right in the middle so you can take a long walk on the sand in either direction. The quiet village has a small permanent population and a variety of shops including deli, pharmacy, butchery, grocery plus numerous places to dine out. Our home is adjacent to the beach and the unrestricted view is across the ocean to a nearby island. Totally relaxing and peaceful. There are 2 towns within 15 minutes drive, Tauranga is 45 mins away and the Coromandel region with a host of beaches is to the north. Anyone who enjoys walking will find plenty of areas to discover including the old gold mining area of Karangahake Gorge where you can ramble safely in the disused mine shafts or follow the river. Surfing, kayaking, fishing, golf, walking or driving around the coast are all at available here. We also have a home available in Hamilton city
