Our home overlooks the busy harbour entrance, in an outstanding location. Aberystwyth is a bilingual town of 10,000 people in West Wales-about 5 hours by car from the English Channel ports (eg.Dover).



It is a Victorian seaside town with a long promenade and pier, and a centre for cultural activity with the National Library of Wales, art galleries and small interesting shops. The University attracts 10,000 students to the town who give it a youthful and vibrant social scene with a range of restaurants, cafe's and bars.



The town has two European Blue Flag beaches and is central to the Ceredigion Heritage Coast with small harbours and beaches and the Cambrian Mountains a few miles inland.



Aberystwyth is two hours from Cardiff - the capital city of Wales, and two hours from Birmingham, Liverpool and Manchester. Pembrokeshire to the south is famed for its beaches and art galleries and Snowdonia National Park is the mountainous area to the north. Both are 1.5 hours by car.



Our house was newly built in 2001 to a high specification; it is 330 sqm with sea views from every room;it has a large garden with a gas barbeque and children's play house. It's located in a quiet residential area 5 minutes walk from the town. The house comprises a large kitchen (which is the heart of the home), a main lounge, a second lounge and conservatory linked to the kitchen; a utility room, and a double garage. Bicycles are available for two adults and two children.



Ideally, you need a car to get to Aberystwyth and to enjoy the surrounding area, although there are good bus and rail links to the rest of Wales,the English Midlands and London(5hrs).



Talarfor is a good place to enjoy a holiday with plenty of outdoor activities and in a friendly Welsh speaking coastal town.
