We live in a renovated 1899 Queen Anne Victorian. It sits on a landscaped acre lot in the historic district of Culpeper. It is perfect for visiting Washington DC --but within the town our home is within easy walking distance of restaurants, theater and coffee houses. You can walk to the Amtrak Depot from the house. Nearby are civil war battlefields like Chancellorsville, Wilderness, and Fredricksburg, or Presidential homes like James Madison's Montpelier, Thomas Jefferson's Monticello or George Washington's Mount Vernon. For those interested in hiking the Shenandoah National Park is only a 45 minute drive away. Wineries abound in the area and of course it goes without saying that Culpeper sits in the Virginia Horse Country. Commonwealth Park is minutes away and the Rappahannock Hunt often rides here.
