The Spinney is set in a village 5 miles from the picturesque and historic town of Nantwich.

Nantwich is a market town with black & white Tudor buildings dating from 16th century. It has lovely shops, restaurants and pubs. The town hosts a range of festivals throught the year including The Battle of Nantwich re-enactment, Food and Drink Festival, Folk Festival, Jazz and Blues Festival and Nantwich show (which has the largest cheese tent in Europe!) There are many tourist activites within the immediate area, and even more beyond.

Chester City is the county town of Cheshire and has its roots in Roman times with well preserved city walls and amphetheatre to name but a few. The main street has the 'Rows' which are two tier black and white shops with many dating from the 16th century, there is a wealth of excellent architecture and buildings all within easy walking distance. The City is home to the oldest horse-racing course in the world. It holds several meetings per year including one in the middle of August. Chester also has an excellent world class Zoo.

We are centrally located between Manchester & Liverpool both accessible in an hour. Both cities are vibrant and have a historical and industrial past with excellent theatres and museums. They also have a modern cosmopolitan feel with excellent shopping centres, not forgetting their football teams where stadium tours can be made.

The Lake District, Snowdonia and Peak District National Parks are all within 2 hours drive and are excellent places to walk, explore and sight see.

Britains largest theme park 'Alton Towers' is only 40 miles away. The Main Rail link is only 5 miles away, so access to London is less than 2 hours. The M6 motorway is only 7 miles from us.
